Steven Kommor, Esq.  has been a practicing lawyer for thirty (32) years and has evolved into one of the foremost litigators/negotiators in the areas of divorce law, family law, and criminal law. His expertise in these areas is wide ranging and includes: contested custody matters, complex asset evaluations, equitable distribution, dissipation and and concealment of assets, distribution of liquid and non-liquid assets, distribution of retirement assets, examination of forensic experts, concealment of income, spousal support, and child support. In addition to his litigation and negotiation background, Mr. Kommor has also served as a guest lecturer to other attorneys seeking his guidance before the New York State Bar Association and Nassau County Bar Association.  

Steven Kommor, Esq. is a 1988 graduate of Hofstra University.  As an undergraduate, Mr. Kommor earned a business degree while focusing in the areas of accounting, finance and public speaking.  In addition, Mr. Kommor served as the captain of the Hofstra Ice Hockey team and was named three times as an All-Star player with the Metropolitan Eastern Hockey League.

Upon graduating from Hofstra University, Mr. Kommor pursued and obtained his law degree at New York law School.  During his law school tenure, Mr. Kommor was awarded the American Jurisprudence award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy and Moot Court Appellate Advocacy Award.
 

In addition, Mr. Kommor was named as the Chairman of the Moot Court Board. While attending New York Law School, Mr. Kommor also served as a legal intern to the Honorable Bud Goodman of the Supreme Court of the State of New York.  Further, Mr. Kommor devoted his time as an intern for Catholic Charities Diocese of New York, and served as a summer intern at the Manhattan District Attorneys Office.
